Is Placer Surface a flooring or coatings company?
No. Surface and Group are part of our name. We are one heating, ventilation and air conditioning company.
How long do air conditioners and furnaces last?
Commonly quoted working lives are about 12 to 17 years for air conditioners and heat pumps and about 15 to 25 years for gas furnaces, but care and installation change that a lot.
Can you check a system before I buy a house?
Yes. We look at age, condition, records and airflow, and tell you plainly what we find.
Can my system help on smoky days?
Yes. The best filter your system can handle, a sealed return and recirculating air all help keep smoke out.
Do you work on commercial buildings?
Yes. Offices, retail centres, medical suites and restaurants, with rooftop units and maintenance plans.
Will I get a price before work starts?
Yes. We diagnose first and write down the price before any work.
